Reporting a wrong result

If the validator reports a problem that isn't real, or misses one that is, please include:

1. The report. Use Download report or Copy report on the validator page. Licence keys and passwords are already removed from it.
2. What you expected to see instead.
3. Your browser and whether your server runs on Windows or Linux.

Please don't send resource files you don't own, especially paid or escrowed resources. The report is almost always enough. If a file is needed, a small made-up example that shows the same problem is best.

Common questions

My browser says it will "upload" files. Are they sent anywhere?

No. That's the standard browser wording for letting a page read a folder. The page is blocked from sending data over the internet, and it only reads files on your computer. See the privacy page.

It warns about something I did on purpose.

Warnings are often intentional. Each one says when it is safe to ignore. The full list of checks explains every one.

The report is clean but the vehicle still doesn't work in game.

The validator checks files, references and whether game files are intact, but it doesn't judge how models or textures are built. Clashes with other resources are only found if you select them together: try choosing your whole resources folder. If the server log shows errors, paste it into the Server Log Explainer. See what it does not do.

Can it fix the problems for me?

No. It is read-only on purpose and never changes your files.
